Mental Health Counseling, Therapy and Substance Abuse Treatment

We help our clients live happier, healthier and more connected lives by focusing on the whole person. We believe that at some point in our lives, most of us feel misunderstood, isolated, tired, disconnected, stuck, overwhelmed, ashamed or frustrated, yet it can be intimidating to reach out for support. Counseling often provides relief that comes from having the space to talk, receive validation, and be heard. In addition to using transcultural and trauma informed interventions to help you improve your emotional health and feel better, We strive to provide services with compassion, non-judgement, mindfulness, collaboration, safety and commitment to your healing and growth. We help individuals work through issues of:
  • Trauma, post traumatic stress, unresolved painful life events, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and traumatic brain injury
  • Anxiety, uncontrollable worry or difficulty managing stress
  • Relationship counseling to address communication difficulties, connection or intimacy issues, relational trauma, unhealthy relationship patterns
  • Grief and loss
  • Depression, low self-esteem & confidence
  • Navigating life changes
  • Victims of Crime

We provide counseling, therapy and group therapy on an outpatient basis to treat individuals and families with a wide range of emotional, social and psychiatric needs using evidence-based therapies. In some cases, case management services provide linkage to other services in the community. If medication is needed, our psychiatrists and prescribing nurses can help, with an easy-to access pharmacy near by.

Child, Adolescent & Family Counseling Services

The Fields Foundation provides comprehensive treatment to children and families challenged by emotional and behavioral issues. Such issues can interfere with the way children think, act, feel and perform in school or at home. Whether your child struggles with low self-esteem, post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or another emotional or behavioral problem, we offer a full range of services to help your family on the path to reconciliation and recovery.

Individual & Family

The first step in your child’s treatment begins with a thorough assessment with one of our licensed therapists. During this evaluation, we’ll look carefully at your child’s strengths – along with those of your individual & family. We then develop a treatment plan that leverages these strengths as the building blocks for success. Depending on your child’s assessment and specific needs, you may take part in a combination of individual and family therapy. The common goal of these therapies is to help resolve the emotional and behavioral issues that can cause significant stress and hinder your child’s ability to function at home, school, with peers, or in the community.

Education Classes for Parents

We recognize that there are unique issues that come with raising children. We offer various classes that address challenges such as foster/adoptive parenting, parenting a strong-willed child, discipline, mental health first aid, grandparenting courses, substance abuse treatment and more. These popular classes focus on the particular needs of two distinct age groups – children ages three to 12 and adolescents. Click here to receive notification of the next upcoming classes.
